Why an ice store?
Ice cannot (and should not) always be produced just as it is used. It is usually advantageous to produce ice in advance and collect and store it in an ice store, provided the ice is suitable for storage (see crushed ice). This generally saves investment costs and provides flexibility.
Reasons for an ice store:
- Uneven demand with peak times
- a large quantity of ice is processed in a very short period of time
- A large quantity of ice is required at different consumption points at the same time
- Use of cheap night-time electricity
- High ambient temperatures that cause melting losses without ice storage
Various storage solutions for you:
Stationary ice storage:
For different ice requirements with simple, manual ice removal through the storage door. Material: Stainless steel inside and out with strong insulation. There is a condensation drain at the bottom. An additional option is a condensation pump.
Ice store with ice transport trolley:
For different ice requirements with easy ice removal through the opening of the bottom flap in the ice storage bin. The ice falls into the ice transport trolley below. The bottom flap is then closed again. Material: Polyethylene inside and stainless steel outside with strong insulation.
Automatic ice store:
First in - first out principle. Ice is dispensed via the start/stop switch. No more laborious shoveling of ice. Options: Weighing system or on-site floor scales.
